We work on a wide variety of media projects, here are some recent examples:
Film and Drama
R.I.P.S Investigate. As part of Let’s Go Global TV’s Pixelate Project we worked with local participants to create a 7 part paranormal series which culminated in a live broadcast.
Photography
We have worked on many curriculum based photography projects with clients such as Springhill School, Surestart Parents and Newbold Youth Group. The photograph below is a canvas created for the entrance of Sandbrook Children’s Centre.
Multi Media
“The Wiz of Sandbrook School”. Weekly film and drama sessions with 8 to 10 year olds which led to a multi media production. Children performed live on stage with projected characters using green screen technology. Video available by private view.
Video
“The flock of dreams” Working in partnership with Rochdale Youth Service and Link4Life this video tracks the journeys of a flock of sculptured birds. Each bird was decorated by a local group. The “flock” represent the dreams and aspirations of the participants. Video available by private view.
“The Arts Award” video follows the journey’s of the O-UR Stage drama group at Oldham Coliseum Theatre. The video was created to celebrate the girls’ achievements and to encourage other young people to take part in the Arts Award Scheme.
Live Broadcasting
To celebrate Peopleprints’ 25th anniversary and World Community Arts Day, we delivered our most innovative project to date. We re-created The Beatles satellite performance of “All you need is love”, for our largest global internet broadcast. Peopleprint’s team of volunteers and young musicians, were delighted that 9,000 people and organisations watched live across the globe! In Scotland, one arts organisation even had a huge screen for the local town to watch! 22,000 people have since viewed the video and live internet broadcasting will become core to our future work.
Audio and podcasting
Rochdale Arts News podcast is a regular update on creative activities in the borough. The show also covers creative industries jobs and we feature local creatives in the “Artist of the week” slot.
As part of Springhill Community Cohesion Group we collected vox pops from young people on the youth service bus. The vox pops will be used as evidence to support future funding bids on behalf of the group.
